Gnomes

I have been coloring my new gnome stamps from My Favorite Things and so happy to finally put them into a card. I colored the images and background with distress ink pads and I’m loving it.

I embossed the white card stock base with my favorite embossing folder with dots. I haven’t done any dry embossing lately 🙂  The background just mimics the dots patterned paper that I used in the strip.

I had a great time playing with   my new stamps and trying out watercoloring more with distress inks. I only have few colors but plans to add a little more to the collection. It will be fun to play more with colors for sure.

I used the sketch from My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge #291.

Sketch and new stamp

Hiya!

Just a quick log to share my take in Match the Sketch #134 challenge.

I used my new stamp from My Favorite Things BB You Gnome Me.  How cute is that gnome? 🙂 Always makes me smile. I colored him with  promarkers, and added some sequins for some more fun.

Underwater fun

Happy Saturday!

I’m checking in quickly to share a fun card using stamps from Mommy Lhey.

First up, I did some watercoloring in the background, somewhat mimicking the underwater colors. Some blues and purples are just right isn’t it? I also white embossed the seahorse and plants to add in the scene.

For my images, I colored them with promarker and fussy cut them then adding some foam dimensional for extra pop. I added some sequins also to add some more fun.

I used a card sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge # 169.

Christmas in July

Hello there!

Its Christmas in July and I’m glad I was able to do some simple background technique on today’s project. I know I might be too late to try coloring backgrounds using distress inks but its good to try things out even if its been around for a while.

I used three different ink colors to color my background then heat embossed some stars and sentiment using silver embossing. I must say it looks so pretty in real life. The big snowflake is a die cut using Simon Says Stamp & I cut it from silver glittered paper.

I also added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I used  Sketch Saturday challenge # 420 and color inspiration from 52 Christmas Card Throwdown-July colour challenge.

So totally cool

Today, I did a card using a sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge Sketch Challenge # 241.

I used a combination of stamps from Mommy Lhey for the cute octopus, sentiment from Technique Tuesday, and the splash of turquoise patch from Hero Arts.

The stash of ribbon is from my previous collection, love to use them again this time.

I used a very simple water coloring on the octopus background and in the image too.  I added some sequins too and voila, clean and simple just the way I like it 🙂

I also used a color inspiration from WIW Color Challenge- Red,Turquoise, Black & White.

On your special day

Hiya!

Happy to share another card using stamps that I owned sometime ago from Wplus9.

First, I stamped the images in white pigment ink then put another colored ink on top of it, a little bit offset to create a shadow. I also added some sequins for additional texture and color. Always love sequins and one layer card 🙂

I used a card sketch from CAS(E) this sketch # 179.

Clean and simple card

Just  checking in quickly to share a clean and simple card using Paper Smooches Afresco stamp set.

I stamped the barbeque skewers and the ants along with the salt shaker and ketchup, coloring them all using promarkers. I also die cut them using their coordinating dies that I later layered a bit. Some additional pepper, mushrooms and shrimp were also scattered around the ants for some fun.

I added the oval shape using a die, at closer look you can see the detail stitch from the die I used to emboss the shape. I then added a stitched line along the ovals for some details.

I’m entering this card to Paper Smooches July Challenge-Summer. In my home country, summer is the time for barbeque and grilling under the sun 🙂 so this is my take on this month’s challenge.
