Two ink colors & sequins

Hello!

Today I have the chance to play with a stamp set  from Hero Arts stamp set that I have for so long now. I was looking at my stamp box and remember that I still haven’t used these flourish stamp ever. Sometimes all you have to do is look into your supplies and use whatever you have before buying new ones right? 🙂

I used a very minimal supplies on this card. Two ink colors, some sequins, a diecut Hello from Mama Elephant and rectangular stitched diecut and I’m done.

My card sketch inspiration is from Sketch Saturday, Sketch #429.

Icy die cuts

Hello there!

It’s only August but I’m starting to do a bit of holiday cards in preparation for the Christmas season. That’s months ahead but you know how fast time goes and before you know it, Christmas is already there and its time to send the holiday cards to your loved ones overseas.

OK so for my card today, I used the leaves die cut from Simon Says Stamp. I was going through my paper stash and found this foil like carton, shining in icy blue, would you believe it’s from a perfume bottle-Davidoff Cool Water for Woman.

Sometimes there are materials that we might just ignore but with a little imagination, we can use them in a project like this card where I used them as some form or frosty/icy leaves.

I also added a die cut ribbon using Mama Elephant dainty bow die and the oval die from Pretty Pink Posh. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I used a card sketch inspiration from CAS Colours & Sketch, Sketch Challenge # 186.

So totally cool

Today, I did a card using a sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge Sketch Challenge # 241.

I used a combination of stamps from Mommy Lhey for the cute octopus, sentiment from Technique Tuesday, and the splash of turquoise patch from Hero Arts.

The stash of ribbon is from my previous collection, love to use them again this time.

I used a very simple water coloring on the octopus background and in the image too.  I added some sequins too and voila, clean and simple just the way I like it 🙂

I also used a color inspiration from WIW Color Challenge- Red,Turquoise, Black & White.

One Layer card stamping

Today is a super quick one layer card with minimal coloring too.

The stamp images are from Sarah Hurley while the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

I first stamped the outline images, then colored them by stamping another solid stamp using Hero Arts inks.

I added the sentiment and using the corner chomper, I rounded the top corners.

Spreadin’ a little love

Hi there!

Checking in quickly to share this watercolor card project that I colored previously. I gold embossed the succulents and colored them with my distress markers. Loving this medium 🙂

I added a die cut heart in between the two succulents to connect them in a way.

I used Hero Arts Stamp your Own Succulents and sentiment from Mama Elephant Everyday Greetings.

My sketch inspiration is from Sketch Saturday Week # 369.

Coloring with Distress Markers

I was able to use  my new Distress Markers last night along with my new Succulent stamps from Hero Arts. I got them from my recent craft haul and so glad to use them this weekend.

I did some test watercoloring to see how the markers works, I think I need a little bit more practice but generally I love them!

I stamped the succulent and pot with Versamark then gold embossed them. I love the raised texture that embossing gives to the images.

Oh and I also used my new Happy Birthday stamp set from  Sweet Stamp Shop.

I’ll be here

I had the chance to play with my stamp win from Mama Elephant. I received this stamp for sometime now and I’m so glad to use it this time.

I colored the little girl image with promarker and fussy cut her and the teeny tiny turtle as well. I used pattern papers from Lawn Fawn. Did you noticed lately I’ve been putting sequins in every card I make?  I think that’s my latest addition in card making. I so love the sequins I got from Pretty Pink Posh 🙂

My card sketch inspiration is from Sketch N Scrap sketch # 41.

Deck the halls challenge

Another quick post. There’s the ”Deck the hall” challenge at Hero Arts blog and its only few hours left for the deadline.

I really wanted to take part so I did these two snowmen quickly using Hero Arts Frosty Wishes and its coordinating Frame cuts die Snowman.

I stamped the main details of the snowman and added some scrap fabric for the scarf and hat. A small piece of orange felt for the nose. I also cut one more piece of felt for the back to cover the twine that I put on top. With that twine, I can hang them now in the Christmas tree.

For more fun, I added googly eyes instead of just the plain dot.

That’s it! Now I have a snowman ornament that I can add in my tree.
