Some Odd Girl May Challenge twist Anything but a card

Hiya!

Today starts the monthly challenge at the Some Odd Girl blog. As always its Anything Goes but this month twist is  ”Anything but a card”. That means you can do any project, a home decor, display item, bookmark or any other things else except a card.

For this challenge, I used 3 different digital stamps to make a fairy scene. I used the Gnome mountain, Brella fairy, and Build-a-scene mushroom digi. I colored all of them with promarkers and popped them all with dimensional adhesives.

This will be one of my fave DIY wall decors for sure đŸ™‚

Some Odd Girl April Release Review

Hello there!

I’m sharing today a card using the new release digi stamp this month from Some Odd Girl.  The release this month are retired stamps yet be enjoyed now as a digital stamp đŸ™‚ Love that.

I colored Big Wishes Mae digital stamp with my favorite coloring medium promarkers. For the card base I embossed that with medium-sized dots and also added some patterned papers for some fun. I also added some gems for added texture.

You can visit the Some Odd Girl blog for more card inspirations.

Nerdy Chihuahua Digi Stamp

Hiya!

Just checking in quickly to share my take in this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge # 457.

I missed joining in weekly challenges like this since work life has been very busy for the last quarter. So happy to take part this week though.

I used a digital stamp from Some Odd Girl called Nerdy Chihuahua đŸ™‚ So cute isn’t it?  I colored him with promarkers and fussy cut him too. For the card base, I added some texture by embossing with Swiss dots embossing folder. The oblong and rectangular shapes were also diecut with stitching details.

Also entering this card to Just Add Ink #353, Just Add Critters challenge and

Simon Says Stamp, Anything Goes Challenge.

Some Odd Girl April Challenge

Hello there!

Today begins the monthly challenge at Some Odd Girl with the twist nothing square.

I used Tunes Tia digi stamp and colored her with promarker. I then fussy cut the image and pop that up in the card. I think circle cards are always cute so I did one this time đŸ™‚ Die cuts will be great in this instance. I also added some cloud and sun die cuts too for some fun. And with some bright-colored enamel dots with white sequins to add and I’m happy.

Don’t forget to visit the Some Odd Girl blog for some DT inspirations. It will be more fun if you can join the challenge too.

Until next time!

Swoon Dakota Digi Stamp

Hello!

Today I’m sharing one of the newly released digi stamps from Some Odd Girl, Swoon Dakota. I love how she flipped one of her leg, adding a cute gesture on her character.

I recently bought some new Promarker, Skin tone last weekend and used it here to color Dakota. I think I need to do some more practice runs in blending with my new alcohol markers but generally pleased on how Dakota brought life to this clean and simple card.

I used some die cuts to add some texture on the cardstock border and also banner die cuts on top of my card. Some sequins will be fun too isn’t it? đŸ™‚

Coloring with Promarker & Blog Hop

vday-hop-header

Hello!

Welcome to my stop on the Some Odd Girl Valentine’s Day Blog Hop! You should have arrived from Anna’s blog but if you just stopped by then head back to the beginning to get started so you don’t miss any stops.
For my stop I’ve created a clean and simple card using Some Odd Girl stamp that I adore. I used one of the cute cat from the Clever Kittys Clear Stamp and colored that with promarkers.
I build the colors by laying light colors first- a very light brown color, then slowly adding some yellow-orange and brown to intensify the darker areas or spots in the cat’s hair.

I kept the mid-section light to show some light areas of the cat’s color.

For my card base, I also stamped a ball of thread with very light gray ink.

Coloring is somewhat therapeutic and you can use any type of coloring medium as you wish. One thing that I love about the Some Odd Girl stamps is that they are big enough to color and very pretty stamp designs too đŸ™‚
