DIY Decorative Ref Magnet

Happy Saturday!

Sharing a quick project today that I know will be fun to create with kids.

I used to keep bottle caps, thinking that I can use them one day for a project. Now is the just the right time 🙂

I did these decorative ref magnets using bottle caps, the flat ones and the smaller size ones from water bottles, a great way to  recycle isn’t it?

I’m sharing the process of how I did these in Sarah Hurley 365 blog. Or you can click here.

Fabric pieced home decor

So excited to share this quick sewing project using fabric and felt to create a home decor. I’m sharing the same in Sarah Hurley365 blog.

I used the following materials and tools on this project:

  • Fabric and felt scraps
  • White cotton fabric
  • Stamps, inks and acrylic block
  • Scissor (looks like a scary big scissor but this is the one I use for fabric cutting)
  • Fabric glue
  • Frame to put the stitched piece (I got mine from Ikea)
  • Embroidery floss and needle (not pictured)

supplies

I stamped the images directly on fabric and felt

I used the fabric wrong side up so as not to see the stamped lines.

So this is how you see the shapes coming together, already cut. I arranged the stamps again to see how it will look

Then I stamped the sentiment, Be Amazing

I adhere the pieces using fabric glue from Mod Podge.

I added the arms by stitching them

I also stitched the leaves for some texture

After all the pieces are adhered and stitched some pieces for texture, it’s already done. Easy peasy.

I can hang this on the wall as decor or just stand near my crafting table.

I’m sharing this to And Sew We Craft Together Linky Party.

Wedding card

I have not done much of wedding card so when I’m looking for the items available with me to create card theme, New Begin for January – New Beginnings from Pretty Paper Studio blog, I thought of using those pretty chipboard as main elements on this wedding card. I had fun doing this card and I shared a full tutorial on how I did this in the  Pretty Paper Studio blog.

I silver embossed the chipboard  which looks so much prettier in real life.

Oh So Happy: Cardmaking video

I was dreaming of doing a card video for sometime but has kept it as I dread recording as I speak, even more than hearing my voice in a video. I finally come to the point that now is really the time to do it, thanks to Pretty Paper Studio.

You can find all the supplies I used at the Pretty Paper Studio blog. The blog is also running its monthly craft challenge and this month’s theme is Anything with glitter challenge. More inspirational projects can also be found here.

Going back, these are some of the stills of my card project, that glittered heart makes me happy 🙂
