I was able to use my new Distress Markers last night along with my new Succulent stamps from Hero Arts. I got them from my recent craft haul and so glad to use them this weekend.
I did some test watercoloring to see how the markers works, I think I need a little bit more practice but generally I love them!
I stamped the succulent and pot with Versamark then gold embossed them. I love the raised texture that embossing gives to the images.
Oh and I also used my new Happy Birthday stamp set from Sweet Stamp Shop.

Yesterday was a full packed schedule after work, can’t believe going to bed at 2am!
Anyhow, sharing here a one layer card using stamps from Hero Arts alphabet stamps and Paper Smooches. I did almost a B&W card (since I have a touch of gray) and one spot color which is the light green. A great quick birthday card for boys.
I’m entering this card in A Blog Named Hero challenge # 48, Sheet cake.
Joining also in Paper Smooches, July 20-26 (wk 3) Anything Goes challenge.
I used the Super stamp set, love those building silhouette and the hero flying by.
Also joining in Addicted to CAS , Challenge # 43- Celebrate.
and in Hero Arts One Layer Challenge.
I’ve been browsing around online card challenges and found that A Blog Named Hero is collaborating with Paper Smooches in this month’s challenge. So, I’m joining both in A Blog Named Hero Challenge # 47, Color it in and Paper Smooches, Anything Goes challenge (wk1).
My background is made from the double stamping technique that I tried out the other day. I have also posted my tests run in my Instagram account. I learned the technique from one of the videos of Jennifer McGuire. So glad I tried them out.
The chicks are from Paper Smooches Green Acres stamp set which I fussy cut and colored with promarkers. The strip is die cut using Paper Smooches Borders 1 Dies.
My card sketch inspiration is also from A Blog Named Hero July Sketch.
Had fun doing this card 🙂
