A super quick post to share my take in this week’s card challenge for two of my favorite challenge sites.
Since I had the chance to sit down for a while, I did a card for Freshly Made Sketches # 103 challenge.
This time a hybrid card using Sarah Hurley, Book Worm digital scrapbooking kit. I specially love the papers on this collection, just fit for a back to school theme card.
I’m also entering this card to CAS-ual Friday Back to school challenge, CFC 114.

This week’s theme for CAS-ual Fridays card challenge is to create a Clean And Simple Back to School project. The designer team’s card creations were all well done. You can visit them here.
I’m inspired by Jenny Mullens card where she shows the school bag as the main focal point.
So on my interpretation, I used a sandwich lunch sack that we normally take at school too and of course the apple. I made the lunch sack in 3D to give depth then folded the top flap with clothes pin. It can lay flat too if it’s to be mailed or keep them as it is if it’s handed over to a teacher or friend. I freehand cut the whole apple part. To add color I put on some washi tapes in the bottom, it gives some depth too so the sack would not look as if it’s floating in space.
A straight forward clean and simple card for a back to school project.
