This month’s challenge at Sarah Hurley 365 blog is now live with the theme: My Favorite Things.
Aside from card making, I also love sewing and it always makes me happy whenever I can incorporate sewing materials or sewing into my card project.
My favorite things are placed altogether in my card today, the blue and pink colors, felt flowers, die cutting and stamped coloring 🙂 Not a lot isn’t it?
I used a combination of paper kits from Sarah Hurley including: Be Mine kit, April kit-Happy, January kit-Loving Life, July kit-All at Sea and February kit add-on – St Marks. The sentiment is from Sarah’s Sentiment stamp set.
For more project inspirations, you can see the rest of the team’s take on challenge here.
I’m entering this card to Simon Says Stamp, Anything Goes Challenge.
Catch up with you later!

Last week, I tried watercolors in my card project, and today, I’m using one of the sample watercolor background that I did last time, now to this card.
I have seen great inspirational quotes and I read the ”Keep Calm and Carry On” somewhere and noted them on my little notebook to use for later. So here it is now, just perfect for this week’s Retrosketches challenge # 115 sketch.
All stamps and papers are from Sarah Hurley. The small stamp set on the kit fits so nice to add some design to a plain background. I white embossed the little leaves, doodle circle and the heart. I also added some enamel dots to add some more colors in the white card base.
I’m also entering this card to
Through the Craftroom Door, Anything Goes.
Word Art Wednesday, Challenge # 133, Anything Goes.
Some crafty time today so I can join in some fun card challenges.
Just to remind you also, the April Challenge – to use Stitching at Sarah Hurley365 challenge is up until 27th April.
With the theme challenge in mind, I also applied faux stitching along the border of the main frame. I also stitched the diecut button directly on paper. You can visit the challenge blog too to see great card creations from the DT and other participants.
I used Sarah Hurley papers from her scrapbooking kit, along with Sentiment stamp and sequins stamp from the Documented365 kit. My main image, typewriter is from Sarah’s Be Mine scrapbooking kit.
I used the card sketch from Retro Sketches # 111.

A quick post to show my take in Freshly Made Sketches # 127. I haven’t played around this sketch challenge for a while so its nice to take part this week.
I used the papers from Sarah Hurley’s 8×8 paper and my favorite stamps also from Sarah Hurley. Love this set 🙂 I colored the cameras with promarkers and punched some hearts to add some colors.

I haven’t been around card challenges lately but was able to do one today for Paper Smooches.
I’m joining Paper Smooches Sparks challenge, Feb 23-March 1 Designer Drafts challenge. I love card sketches and did the one on the left.
For the bird image, I embossed it with black over vellum. I then colored her by transferring color from the stamp pad using th e tip of a cotton bud. Love how it turned out.
I have some washi tapes that I recently got from the local craft store so I used two of them here. The yellow one is from a previous stash. For the card, I find the bottom strip to be heavy already so I put the sentiment above the image. I added googly eyes for her for some fun.
I’m entering this also in Keep it Simple!, Challenge # 34, Anything with Wings.
That’s it for now and I’ll catch up again soon.
Popping in quickly to share my take in Paper Smooches cute and fun challenge.
I stamped and colored the images with promarkers and added some die cut circle as embellishments. I got some washi tape last week from the local craft store so I used a strip here for some colors. I also added a googly eye for my turtle just for fun.
I got the card sketch inspiration from Retro sketches # 102.
I’m also entering this card in Simon Says Stamp Get Krafty challenge.

Hey there! It seems forever since I last blogged. This post should have been live last night but I was feeling so sick again and haven’t had the chance to finish the post. I came back almost a week now from a short break with family. It was short yet so sweet. Had the chance to play again with my little munchkins, KC, Abiel and Aidan. Miss them all already.
Sadly, I got sick the day after my return to Doha. This cough and cold is giving me a hard time. I should be in my normal self hopefully in the next days 🙂
Anyhow, it’s so good to be back. I’m sharing today Sketch-N-Scrap card sketch # 4. The flower stamp is from Hero Arts which I colored in with Promarkers with a combination of Inktense pencils. I love the vibrant color of both mediums. I then die cut the circle as well as the circle outline border, added a button and the some string. The background is partially embossed and I also embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches Sentiment sampler.
You can visit the Sketch-N-Scrap blog for more inspirations 🙂
And now, the winner of the die cut challenge. So sorry that the announcement took too long. With the preparations before my leave and the sickness, I haven’t had the opportunity to really sit down on my computer. Thanks so much to all of you ladies that played along. Your works are all amazing and I hope that I’ll see you all again in the next challenge.
And the winner of the die-cut challenge is…..Elena Dlima woohooo!!
Congratulations Elena! Please drop me an email with your mailing address to: info at heartforhandmade dot com

Sharing a hybrid card using Sarah Hurley Designs, Expedition digital scrapbooking kit. I have mentioned this before but will need to reiterate again, I love this Expedition kit 🙂 apparently its one of my favorites. Traveling is one my looking-forward-to events so that may be a reason why I love this kit too?
After laying out the elements in my computer, I added texture by putting button in the camera lens and a blue twine.
I’m entering this card to Simon Says Stamp, Take a picture challenge.
