Coloring with Zig Real Brush Markers

Hello!

September is the beginning of another month-long coloring challenge by Kathy Racoosin called #thedailymarker30day challenge 🙂 It’s now regular happening created by Kathy where everyone can participate by coloring anything every day. It can be a few minutes or an hour but basically doing some coloring of sort daily.

For today, I colored this bouquet flowers stamp from Wplus9. There’s so many ways to color this so I should be exploring those options too soon.

For my coloring, I bought my Zig Real Brush markers sometime ago and I’m happy being able to use them today.

I quickly made the colored flowers to a card and am happy to share them too in “Addicted to Stamps and More: Challenge #257-Make Your Mark”

I’m also entering this card to Simon Says Stamp, Monday Challenge.

Until then!

Two ink colors & sequins

Hello!

Today I have the chance to play with a stamp set  from Hero Arts stamp set that I have for so long now. I was looking at my stamp box and remember that I still haven’t used these flourish stamp ever. Sometimes all you have to do is look into your supplies and use whatever you have before buying new ones right? 🙂

I used a very minimal supplies on this card. Two ink colors, some sequins, a diecut Hello from Mama Elephant and rectangular stitched diecut and I’m done.

My card sketch inspiration is from Sketch Saturday, Sketch #429.

Simple Coloring with Inktense Pencils

Hello!

I recently purchased some new stamps online and finally had the chance to use this Trouble in a Tutu stamp set from Clearly Besotted 🙂 They’re so cute right? The  set has coordinating dies but I was not able to buy those yet but will definitely get them in my next haul.

I colored the images with Inktense pencils, using only pink and black. I used a very light stroke in coloring the areas that are supposed to be dark and let the highlights be in white. This card makes me smile really.

For my sentiment I white embossed them and added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for some more fun.

I used a card sketch inspiration from CAS(E) this Sketch #187.

I also used a die from Mama Elephant to emboss the borders of the card base to add details. Just enough to put some texture on a plain card base.

Shine Bright

Hiya!

Just checking in quickly to share my take in Cupcake Inspirations Challenge # 371, Shine Bright.

I used a diamond diecut from Ellen Hutson to represent the bright theme. I also used a perfume packaging that has this cool shiny finish to diecut the diamond. I think that both reflects the theme eh? I also added a vellum behind the diecut to show some see-through feel in its sparkle 🙂

For my cupcake I colored it using watercolor. Then I added a striped vellum on the sides and some sequins for some more shine & brightness.

My card sketch inspiration is from CAS on Sunday: Challenge # 89.

Icy die cuts

Hello there!

It’s only August but I’m starting to do a bit of holiday cards in preparation for the Christmas season. That’s months ahead but you know how fast time goes and before you know it, Christmas is already there and its time to send the holiday cards to your loved ones overseas.

OK so for my card today, I used the leaves die cut from Simon Says Stamp. I was going through my paper stash and found this foil like carton, shining in icy blue, would you believe it’s from a perfume bottle-Davidoff Cool Water for Woman.

Sometimes there are materials that we might just ignore but with a little imagination, we can use them in a project like this card where I used them as some form or frosty/icy leaves.

I also added a die cut ribbon using Mama Elephant dainty bow die and the oval die from Pretty Pink Posh. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I used a card sketch inspiration from CAS Colours & Sketch, Sketch Challenge # 186.

Gnomes

I have been coloring my new gnome stamps from My Favorite Things and so happy to finally put them into a card. I colored the images and background with distress ink pads and I’m loving it.

I embossed the white card stock base with my favorite embossing folder with dots. I haven’t done any dry embossing lately 🙂  The background just mimics the dots patterned paper that I used in the strip.

I had a great time playing with   my new stamps and trying out watercoloring more with distress inks. I only have few colors but plans to add a little more to the collection. It will be fun to play more with colors for sure.

I used the sketch from My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge #291.

B&W with a pop of color

I feel sort of under the weather today so what would be a better way to combat the feeling is to make a fun and happy card.

Crafting is a way for me to relax so I made this super quick card using stamps that I bought  in Michaels store way back when I visited Las Vegas.

I stamped the cutesy animals in the background, then colored 3 of the images in the set as highlights.

I used Pretty Pink Posh dies to cut my vellum tag behind the mini squares. So quick and easy. Feels much better after creating this card.

Be You

Happy Sunday!

Checking in quickly to share my watercolored butterflies using Wplus9 Flora & Fauna 2 stamp set. The colors were inspired from Dawn, so love her watercolor techniques.

I stamped the butterflies with Antique Linen distress ink, then played with the colors in my watercolor palette.

For my kraft card base, I embossed them with an embossing folder. My sentiment is made from thick letters from my previous stash.
