Hello there!

Its been very quiet here for sometime, as most of us are, the holiday season has also kept me busy as well.

And so..kicking with my first card project for the year is a fun coloring using Some Odd Girl digistamp, Mae. I used coordinating colored papers and vellum to complement the image colors. For texture I used some sequins to also mimic the vellum polka dots in the background.

My card inspiration sketch is from Sketch Saturday, Week # 342.

I’m also entering this card to Simon Says Stamp, Something  New challenge. I used my new crafty stash, 4mm sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. Also a new washi tape from stash.

3 cards from 1 digi kit: Artistic Circles

A fun card today, three card projects using one digi kit that I got from a2z Scrapbooking called Artistic Circle by Hero Arts.

I love working with digital kits as I can resize the images as I want and print them directly from my computer.

For my cards, I wanted to highlight the circles as my main focal point so here you can see each one of them closely. Only minimal embellishment and bright coloring for the circles. I think one can easily make a background pattern paper using these circles, you can fill the background piece with circles and color them with markers or colored pencils.

So which of these would you like?

I’m sharing the steps on how I did to create these cards in a2z Scrapbooking blog so drop by or click here to check them out.

If you interested in any products that  I used in these cards, you can see them too at the end of this post.

I’ll  catch up again soon!

A super quick post to share my take in this week’s card challenge for two of my favorite challenge sites.

Since I had the chance to sit down for a while, I did a card for Freshly Made Sketches # 103 challenge.

This time a hybrid card using Sarah Hurley, Book Worm  digital scrapbooking kit. I specially love the papers on this collection, just fit for a back to school theme card.

I’m also entering this card to CAS-ual Friday Back to school challenge, CFC 114.

Sarah Hurley, Lookbook Magazine, Vol. 3 projects

May 1st is the birth day of the most amazing woman in my life. The one who have done so much not only for me but for our whole family, my inspiration and strength, my Mom.

Happy birthday Mom!

1st May also happens to be the release of Sarah Hurley’s Lookbook Magazine, Volume 3.   The magazine is a compilation of the design team’s creations (including me :)) that is intended to give inspirations using Sarah‘s fabulous kits and products. The collection varies from scrapbook page, ATCs, cards to home decor. Each piece is an art on its own. So amazed how talented these ladies are and I’m so happy to be part of this team.

I originally plan to do a sneak peek but time is so tricky that I wasn’t able to do one.

Anyhow, I’m pleased to share my contributions in the magazine here.

First off is a card for Mom 🙂 using All Sewn Up! digi-scrapbook kit. I used random strips of the pattern paper from the kit, added embellishments and oh, those fonts is a darling. I love this kit as sewing is also very close to my heart. Just look around and you will see several sewing projects I did on this blog too.

I first got interested in sewing when I watched Mom doing our pajamas when we were little kids. This card is just perfect for her isn’t it?

Second project is a birthday invitation card using Oz Digi Scrapbooking kit. I previously did a Wizard of Oz invite but this one has more Oz elements. I did a coordinating envelopes also to match the whole pack. You may say I may be bias but I don’t think I’ll get tired doing digi projects using Sarah’s kits. The colors and elements are just the ones that I really like.

Now, this one is the first scrapbook page I did, digital it is. I’m more of a card maker  and I haven’t done any scrapbook page before. This is my first attempt and what I can say is, I really had fun working on this page. I used the Say Cheese Scrapbook kit.  In photo is my dear friend Ben and her son Sam (who happens to be my godson too).  See how quirky he is? I love the colors of this kit, the embellishments and those cameras, who wouldn’t love photography?

All I can is, I really had fun doing all these projects. There are a lot of other things I would love to see using these kits and will share them here for sure.
