a2z Scrapbooking October challenge

Happy 1st of October!

Can you believe its only few weeks from now and it’s already Christmas! I already started my Christmas card projects last month and so expect me to continue sharing some more in the next coming weeks ūüôā

Today starts the new challenge over at a2z Scrapbooking blog. October theme challenge will be “to use two (2) Hero Arts products” in your entry.

For my card, I used Hero Arts Tree-mendous digital kit. I love the flexibility of digital stamps, easy to re-size or enlarge the image as you want. Here I printed smaller size trees and colored them with markers. I also added Clear Wink of Stella glitter for some shine.

I also added some gems, I arranged them in a way that it will look like snow falling from the sky. I added a vellum behind the trees to focus more on the trees as well and attached it by running a straight stitch using my sewing machine.

For the sentiment, I silver embossed them.

I added red ribbon to complement the red trees too.

Merry & Bright

Hello there everyone!

Today, I’m sharing a Christmas card using Hero Arts Holiday Houses¬†digi kit.

I love coloring lately with markers and what a better way to color using these beautiful winter homes from the kit.

I selected the houses and re-size some to give an illusion of depth when I arrange them into a card. It will not show very clear in the photos but ¬†I also added some glitter using the Wink of Stella clear glitter pen. Its looks lovely in real life ūüôā

I also added some white dots into the houses to give a feel of snow falling into the homes. There are some gems too laid from top going down to mimic a snow fall ūüôā The pattern paper I used in the background is actually one of the digi papers in the kit.

The sentiment I used is also from the same digi kit ūüôā I also die cut the bottom page of the page using a scallop die.

And here’s my completed card.

3 cards from 1 digi kit: Artistic Circles

A fun card today, three card projects using one digi kit that I got from a2z Scrapbooking called Artistic Circle by Hero Arts.

I love working with digital kits as I can resize the images as I want and print them directly from my computer.

For my cards, I wanted to highlight the circles as my main focal point so here you can see each one of them closely. Only minimal embellishment and bright coloring for the circles. I think one can easily make a background pattern paper using these circles, you can fill the background piece with circles and color them with markers or colored pencils.

So which of these would you like?

Monster birthday

Life has been too busy and I haven’t shared a card project for a while. ¬†Today, got a card for Create a Smile September Guest Designer search.¬†¬†I love their images and decided to link up for the search. I used their free digi files. I used the monsters and the birthday sentiment for my card.

I printed the digis and colored them with promarker. I made the three of them as group and added one more next to my birthday sentiment, find them so cute with the googly eyes ūüôā I diecut Paper Smooches Duo Die 1 to nestle the 3 cutesy monsters and added some silver sequins to fill the space in the left panel.

I also added some Wink of Stella glitter in the monster’s tummy and spots ūüėČ

Wonderful in every way

I have some digistamps in my file that I decided to use over the weekend and did some coloring using markers. I have one colored that I shared yesterday here.

For today, I used this cute pups that I got from The Alley Ways stamps freebie which are colored both with promarkers.

I did a circle impression using a circle die behind the pups for some texture. I also added some enamel dots for color. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant  Everyday Greetings stamp set.

I’m entering this card in CAS-ology Pet cue.

I also used the inspirational sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch # 85.

Digi Coloring

I shared a coloring project I did last night in my Instagram¬†and had fun working on this digistamp called Woodsy Mae ¬†from Some Odd Girl. I have won this digistamp from SOG’s linky party¬†that I participated previously.

I used two type of markers, for the skin and tree trunk I used copic markers while the rest used promarkers. Comparing the two marker brand, it seems that the copic markers blend well than the latter. This may be different for some users but I’m not really sure. It’s how I find the difference. Copic markers nib is also softer compared to promarkers. I’ll appreciate if you can share some of your experience using these markers if you have tried them both too.

For my background I used hero arts Woodgrain background stamp while the Hello sentiment is from Mama Elephant. I added some Hero Arts flower bling in the grass area for some fun. The scalloped edge is die cut using Lawn Fawn die.

My card layout is from Seize the Sketch # 24.

Sarah Hurley, Lookbook Magazine Vol. 4 projects

Sarah Hurley’s Lookbook Magazine Volume 4¬†is already released, yey! Exciting times ūüôā

There are a lot of great projects from the rest of Sarah’s¬†talented DTs and I was blown away by the creativity and variety of projects presented by each of these ladies.

I’m sharing here some of my contributions to the book using Sarah Hurley’s digi kits, stamps, and papers.

First up¬† is the Halloween card using Sarah’s 31 Spook Street Digi¬†Scrapbooking kit.¬†¬†I got the image, Angelica Strange from the kit while the stamps are from Malcolm Strange stamp set.¬†I did¬†partial embossing and background stamping as well in the card base.¬†Angelica, the candy corn and pumpkin were colored with promarkers. The banner’s paper I used Sarah’s September Kit Club Add On 1-Shooting Star.

Note that the Lookbook Magazine, Vol. 4 highlights Halloween and Autumn season so the projects are a combination of the two.

I also did a set of small treat bags for small chocolate pieces. The stamps are again from Malcolm Strange stamp set. For the orange bag, I used Doodle Doll Art Girl stamp.  I again used stamping and embossing for these bags plus twine and some washi strips.

I have a set of three cards as well with whimsical characters and autumn colors. I used Woodland Wonders, Under the Stars Digi¬†scrapbooking kit¬†for all the cards here. I did a lot of fuzzy cutting in the images but feels no boredom at all doing them ūüôā What a great feeling seeing these cards in a finished state. A lot of photos here..

Digi Monday: Friend

It’s Digi Monday and I’m sharing another card using Chi Chi Memories Digital Stamp Set – Costume Set 2.

I used a background stamp from Hero Arts and random papers to coordinate with my colored image. I used promarkers to color my digi stamp while the Friend sentiment is from Paper Smooches stamp.

For some¬†texture, I added some pearls that I colored with yellow orange¬†promarkers ūüôā

Just love the bright, fun colors of this card, just fit for a Friend that brightens our day.
