Simple coloring with Zig markers

Hiya!

A clean and simple card today using Love Cynthia stamp called  Follow your heart 🙂  I always love Cynthia’s happy stamps.

I added some diecut clouds that I got recently as a freebie in my last MFT crafts haul 🙂 Oh and I got that large banner die too from my latest MFT purchase.

I’m entering this card to Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes.

Also in Allsorts challenge blog, Week 431-New Beginnings.

See you then!

Coloring with Zig Real Brush Markers

Hello!

September is the beginning of another month-long coloring challenge by Kathy Racoosin called #thedailymarker30day challenge 🙂 It’s now regular happening created by Kathy where everyone can participate by coloring anything every day. It can be a few minutes or an hour but basically doing some coloring of sort daily.

For today, I colored this bouquet flowers stamp from Wplus9. There’s so many ways to color this so I should be exploring those options too soon.

For my coloring, I bought my Zig Real Brush markers sometime ago and I’m happy being able to use them today.

I quickly made the colored flowers to a card and am happy to share them too in “Addicted to Stamps and More: Challenge #257-Make Your Mark”

I’m also entering this card to Simon Says Stamp, Monday Challenge.

Until then!

MFT stamps and dies

Hi there!

My Favorite Things is running  the 2016 Card Design Superstar contest and I saw the current entries from MFT blog. There’s a lot of amazing card submissions and its so great to see so many ways one can do on a stamp set  🙂  It will be closing in a few days but I’m taking my chance to share my take. I have nothing to lose right? It will always be fun.

I only have 3 stamp sets from MFT. One is the Santa set and the other the Pig and Gnome sets. I also have a very limited dies from MFT so I need to utilize whatever I have to create something fun for the challenge. One of the conditions is of course to use MFT stamps and dies only.

Print

So here’s my contribution. I used a combination of the 2 stamp sets I have (Pig & Gnome) to create a small flower-pot scene. I first partially diecut the 3 gnomes in 2 separate panels, colored them with promarkers then later layered them using dimensional adhesive.

I also stamped other elements like the palette, flower pots, snails and mushrooms.  Each and everyone is colored with promarker 🙂 I only have the coordinating dies for the gnomes so for the elements from the pig stamp like the flower pots and palettes, I fussy cut them. I know it will take a bit more time cutting but I love fussy cutting too 🙂

For my border, I used the wonky rectangles to add some accents.

You can click on the images to see them in bigger size 🙂

A closer look at the colored images. Love coloring them  🙂

Another closer look of the layering and partial die cutting I did on this card.

Partial die cutting and panel layers. There are 2 different white panels with the gnomes, one has the 2 gnomes and the other layer with 1 gnome partially die cut with the rest of the flower pots etc.

Until then!

Watercolored ornaments

Happy Saturday!

Today is a soft watercoloring to color these lovely Christmas ornaments. I used stamps from Sarah Hurley special edition stamp set by Jaine Drake.

I used the sentiment in the Robins set, while the ornaments are from the Traditional Christmas Ornaments.

I started with soft coloring then adding more colors after drying each of the watercolor layer. Love the soft effect it makes. I added some sequins for more spark.

Watercolor play

I’m playing this week in Freshly Made Sketches # 200, A Celebration.

An amazing card inspirations in the gallery from different Design Teams of my favorite craft manufacturers, they are playing too!

I used Altenew’s Sketchy Cities America stamp set. I have them for sometime now but haven’t had the chance to use them in my projects. Glad to color them now.

I did two versions, one is by coloring the buildings with my desired colors and the other just a free watercolor play, just randomly putting watercolors one after the other.

Hogs ‘N Kisses

Hello there!

I had some coloring made using alcohol markers like promarker and copic. I used the stamps from Simon Says Stamp Party Animal set. After coloring I added some white dots and lines in my images. I also added clear Wink of Stella for some shine 🙂

My background is random pattern papers from Lawn Fawn.

My card sketch inspiration is from Sketch Saturday # 368.

Ahoy there!

Happy Sunday!

Just popping in quickly to share my take in my favorite card challenges. I used the nautical stamp set from Sweet Stamp Stamp and colored it with watercolor.

For the red strip, I stamped it using Mama Elephant Basic Border set. I had a mistake in stamping another diagonal strip above the red so I used a yellow patterned paper instead to save the card base.

I added some sequins to add some texture and dimension. I also added some shine in the banner using Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

I’m joining in Runway Inspired Challenge #86, Sophie Theallet. My first time to join in fact.  I used the colors as my inspiration in my card project. The purple is the main color in the model image so I used also purple sequins as accents and add texture to the whole card.
