Its still Halloween but I’m already in the mood for the coming holiday season (Christmas).
I used a combination of different stamps set from Sarah Hurley.
For additional texture, I added a red and white twine, and sparkly sequins.
I used a card sketch from Match the Sketch # 096.
I’m also entering this card to Simon Says Stamp challenge, Anything Goes.
Sharing this non-traditional holiday colors for Paper Smooches, Anything Goes (wk3) Challenge.
I love non-holiday stamps and colors to combine with holiday stamps to create a card. Just a way to stretch more of your stamps.
My card sketch inspiration is from Match the Sketch # 095.
Also entering this card to Brown Sugar Challenge # 169, Anything Goes.
Today, I did a quick card using some coloring using the Some Odd Girl stamp, Deck the Halls Tobie stamp set that I won at Simon Says Stamp hop. Loving it!
For this card, I used the card sketch inspiration from the ShowCASe Your Style Challenge # 4: Sketchhour.
After coloring, I added some silver ribbon and silver glittered paper strips behind the circle. I also added some clear sparkling sequins from Pretty Pink Posh around the card for some sparkle.

Love these clear sparking sequins
I’m also entering this card to Curtain Inspiration Challenge – Candy Cane. Tobie with the candy cane is just so cute don’t you think?
I’m also sharing this card to Some Odd Girl Linky Party.
Today I’m sharing two simple cards that I made for Sarah Hurley365 blog. I also use the Special Edition stamp set called Special Edition Stamps – Traditional Christmas Ornaments by the uber talented Jaine Drake.
First up is a one-layer card. I embossed the ornaments and colored them with colored pencils. I also added some stamping using the stars in the stamp set.
For added shimmer, I put a Wink of Stella clear glitter pen on top of the ornament. The photo may not show it clearly but the shimmer looks so pretty in real life.
A closer look on the shine. I also added a green twine for some texture.
For the second card, I used the Christmas tree stamp and stamped it in different patterned papers, also from Sarah.
I used the snowflake stamp from another set from Christmas Red Cups and Labels Stamps using white ink and added some gems.
Also, I used a card sketch inspiration from Sketch Saturday, Week # 340.
That’s it for now and I’ll catch up again soon 🙂

I’m playing along Fusion challenge (Merry Christmas), the last challenge for the year.
It’s not that they’re closing the challenge but they will be back again for 1st January for a brand new challenge.
For my take, I used the sketch as the inspiration on this card plus the red and white checks as an accent color.
For the background, I stamped the Christmas tree from Jaine Drake special edition stamp set using Versamark. I then die cut the stars using Sarah Hurley papers and added one more vellum layer for added dimension.
In the stars, I also stamped it with Bookmark background stamp then clear embossed it.

I love adding texture to my cards. One way of doing this is by using embossing folders or in other times adding dimensions.
With embossing folders, you can get a deep impression of a design.
I have a limited folder in my stash but they are very handy in making general textured background.
This time I’m sharing a very pretty embossing folder called Ana Griffin’s Aviary embossing folder/border set, this I got from Pretty Paper Studio.
You can see more details of how I did the three cards in the Pretty Paper Studio blog.
Card 1 with fully embossed background
Card 2 with embossed vellum background
Card 3 with partial embossing
I’m entering this card in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp, Make Your Own Background challenge
Papertake Weekly Challenge, Anything Goes
It’s seems a long time since I last posted a card project.
Last week was the International Holiday Bazar here in Doha and yours truly has taken part again for the second time 🙂 It was fun and every year more vendors join in with more interesting stuff to sell. I was busy preparing for the show and hadn’t much time to share a card lately. You can see some photos of the show in my Facebook page.
The past week was also a very sad time for us Filipinos. With the strongest typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda) hit the Philippines on 8th November, it has left thousands of lives lost and so much destruction in the Southern part of our country. We continuously pray for all our countrymen affected by the calamity. Even if we’re away, we’re contributing in whatever way we can to help now.
In a lighter note, I’m here to announce the winner of SNS Holiday Hop, with my take – Christmas.
Using the random generator, we got # 21
Please send me your mailing address to send your prize.
Thank you all so much to everyone who left some love during the hop. I appreciate you all 🙂
Only a few hours before deadline but I’m joining here again at Retro Sketch Challenge # 40.
I used different stamp sets from Paper Smooches. I stamped and hand cut the deer and camel, alogn with their holiday hats. Oh, and I dont have enough holiday greetings that matches Paper Smooches font type so I wrote the word ‘Holidays’ instead. The background has embossed christmas trees.
I added vellum as snow banks at the bottom to give another holiday feel.
Anyhow, off to my card.
