Christmas & Autumn challenge

Can you believe it’s already the first day of September? Where did the time go? in less than 3 months, we’re about to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year!

Today is the perfect time to start those holiday preparations (lots of cards for me), just in time to prep by joining in this month’s challenge at a2z Scrapbooking blog, this month’s theme- Autumn & Christmas 🙂

I used the Tree-mendous digikit on this project. I printed the very light green tree at the background then printed two (2) other trees which I cut & colored with promarker. Noticed that I’ve been loving coloring with markers lately? 🙂  An easy way to bring bright festive colors to digital images.

I popped them using dimensional adhesive and added some glitz using Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

I have a lot of washi tapes so better use the red one here, and the thin strip with b&w lines on it.

love the glitz on this card, looks much better in real life

I added some silver pearls around the card too.

A super quick post to share my take in this week’s card challenge for two of my favorite challenge sites.

Since I had the chance to sit down for a while, I did a card for Freshly Made Sketches # 103 challenge.

This time a hybrid card using Sarah Hurley, Book Worm  digital scrapbooking kit. I specially love the papers on this collection, just fit for a back to school theme card.

I’m also entering this card to CAS-ual Friday Back to school challenge, CFC 114.

Be Happy

The new challenge for June is now up at The Sarah Hurley Designs Challenge blog. The theme for June, ‘All That Glitters Is Gold’.

I did another hybrid card using Sarah Hurley’s Gatsby Digi Scrapbooking kit. After laying it out in my computer and printed, I added a glitter gold for my feather. I have a very limited glitter elements in my stash and I may say, this challenge is somehow a challenge literally 🙂

More glittery  inspirations from my co-DTs at Sarah’s challenge blog so be sure to check them out too.

I’m entering this card to Simon Says Stamp Anything goes challenge.

Sharing a hybrid card using Sarah Hurley Designs, Expedition digital scrapbooking kit. I have mentioned this before but will need to reiterate again, I love this Expedition kit 🙂 apparently its one of my favorites. Traveling is one my looking-forward-to events so that may be a reason why I love this kit too?

After laying out the elements in my computer, I added texture by putting button in the camera lens and a blue twine.

I’m entering this card to Simon Says Stamp, Take a picture challenge.

Hi there

I have the chance to play along this week’s CAS(E) this sketch challenge # 27.  I did a hybrid card using Sarah Hurley’s Bookworm digi scrapbooking kit. I love the papers and elements in scrapbooking kits as they are compiled to complement each other and can easily be matched  in a scrapbook layout or card. I layout my elements in my computer and printed them. I added strips of washi tapes on top and bottom and faux stitching as well.

So here’s my take..

Hybrid card

I was recently accepted as Design Team member at Sarah Hurley Designs, see my badge in the right corner? happy me 🙂

So this week, I received digi kits that can be used for a number of projects. I love Sarah Hurley’s papers, embellishments and almost everything really.  I did try my first digital scrapbook using the Say Cheese digital scrapbooking kit but I’ll share how it looks in the coming week or so.

I also did a card using one of the other kits but will extend the excitement again later.

For today’s project, I used Sarah Hurley’s Expedition digi kit. I designed the overall graphics in my computer, and printed them. I then stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment, and added the orange strings for texture.

I’m entering this card in Freshly Made Sketches # 82.

Also in CAS-ual Fridays Challenge # 99, Birthday Bash. And finally to Pretty Paper Studio April Challenge, Anything First.
