I miss you with MFT stamps

Hello!

Wow it been so long that I haven’t shared any project in this small space of mine 😦 I feel this page has been forgotten. I miss crafting and I miss sharing a card!

Anyhow, here’s my take on this week’s sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches #294.

I used to have these colored images from My Favorite Things and this is my chance to use them in a card. I also used some scrap papers on this project, love that when it happen 🙂

This is the sketch inspiration for the week:

I’m also entering this card to Simon Says Stamp Challenge-Anything Goes.

Card compilation – celebrating life

I haven’t done much projects when I went on a short vacation but I think I’m making up on that one through today’s post.

I have three cards compiled into one which I did for this month’s  “A New Beginning” challenge at the Pretty Paper Studio blog.

First up is a Happy Birthday card, its to commemorate a new life whenever one is born. Just fit for the theme right?

I used the rocket stamp from My Mind’s Eye Boy Crazy stamp set and used the bearing piece to stamp randomly in the patterned paper’s circle design. It just ties the boy look on this card. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Pebbles.

To coordinate the envelope with this card, I also stamped the same stamp elements outside the envelope.

My second card is a clean and simple, Miss You card. This one ties with the wedding card that I also did earlier in the month for PPS. For newlyweds, having your other half away even for a bit feels like forever isn’t it? I think that’s how I came up with this card 🙂 I’m getting mushy eh?

Anyhow, I have the chipboard thicker in my stash and decided to make use of this project. I did a combination of papers from Fancy Pants and the mini note card from Webster’s as it just brings the right patterns and colors.

To bring some texture in the card, I normally emboss the card base to keep some dimensions to it, the same as what I did here.

birds

For my love birds, I used Lawn Fawn’s Christmas stamp set but only the bird and heart stamps. Isn’t it great to get a versatile stamp that can be used all throughout the year, not only for the holidays but also for non-holiday card? Love that. I did a mirrored stamping of the bird, this replicates the blue bird in the right.

A closer look of the sentiment thicker. The crisscrossed design on this alpha just adds more character into the chipboard which I also like about this element. I’m using the same thicker for the third card but see how I altered them.

For my third card is a non-traditional wedding card. A bright, cheery color than the usual gray and toned down colors.

I used Allison Kreft mini-folder in front of the card but rather than keeping the front panel as plain, I die cut the center with a small circle and added a vellum in the middle to emphasize the chipboard heart.

I altered the chipboard by embossing it with gold. This will also complement the yellow card base that I used.

Inside the folder, I also embossed the ‘I Do’ to match the heart outside. I also added the two birds above to give an impression for a couple. The bird stamps came from Lawn Fawn’s Christmas stamp collection but i was able to use some of the stamp elements form non-holiday card too such as this one again.

Note, Im entering the Miss You card in The Little Red Wagon, Challenge # 221 Clean and Simple card challenge.

I hope you have a great weekend and I’ll see you again soon 🙂
