Mini cards

Checking in quickly to share these mini (3 x 3 in) cards. I used the Sweet Stamp Shop stamps that I have in my stash for a while. So glad to use them today.

I stamped the images and fussy cut each one of them. I then added some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for some glam.

I also stamped the envelope with the same stamps I used in the cards.

Excited to play at CASology: Week 135 – Mini.

Let’s do lunch

I can’t believe it’s already a week that I haven’t shared a card project. Life has been so busy lately and haven’t done much crafting in the past days. I miss sitting in the craft table 🙂

I’m sharing a card today for Paper Smooches July 27- Aug 2, Sketch Designer Drafts Challenge.

I did paper piecing for the bun and pizza, then stamped the cola separately. I used Paper Smooches Think Fast stamp set. I also used the Border 1 dies for the bottom of the main piece.

I love you moo & moo

Using my new Paper Smooches stamps, I’m joining this week at Paper Smooches, Anything Goes challenge (wk 3).

I initially thought the little character was a girl when I bought it but he’s the cutest little boy isn’t he? Love him in any way. I used a combination of paper piecing, promarkers coloring and stamping on my images.

My card sketch inspiration is from Sugarpea Designs, SugarSketch challenge # 5. I found their blog when I was browsing online and glad to know they also do card sketch challenge.

Also entering this card to Stampin for the weekend, Anything Goes challenge.

My door is always open

I recently got this Bitty Bungalow stamp set from Paper Smooches. I’m entering this card in the current Picture Perfect challenge, June 8-14.  I used the colors in the photo as my inspiration, fun, happy colors.

I initially colored the bungalows with watercolor but later decided to paper pieced them instead. I have a pack of small piece papers that were left from previous projects which I keep. It may only be me but I just can’t just toss all those pretty papers in the bin as they can still be use in small projects like this (well not all those pieces but a good size ones that I think will still work).

I used the Notebook basic die to frame my bungalows.

For my card  layout, I used Fusion Card Challenge sketch, and they also have those bright, happy colors as inspiration. I also have twine to match the strips in the sketch.

Birthday {Cup} cake

Happy Monday!

Today, I’m featuring a great Special Editions stamp called Cupcake by the uber talented Jaine Drake.

I love the size of this cupcake, its size makes paper piecing so much easier just like what I did on this card.

I stamped the frosting in red pattern paper and a lighter paper shade for the liner. I plan to share different projects using the set so I’ll be sharing those ones too soon.

For this card, I’m using a sketch from Seize the Sketch # 20.

I love u sew much

I don’t want to miss out this week’s Anything Goes challenge at Paper Smooches. So here goes my take.

I used a diagonal striped vellum from Daiso (the thrifty Japanese store which I think are available also worldwide). I bought two packs of this vellum, one is this striped version and another has a polka dot design.

The pack has a number of colors in there but I used the teal one to match the Poppy sketch challenge that I’m joining in too.

Those vellum are just so pretty but much thinner than the other vellum available at online stores.

I die cut the frame and used a different paper in the middle for contrast. I then stamped the sewing machine and paper pieced the knobs and the machine’s body.

I also added a red thread hanging at the needle area just because 🙂  The vellum doesn’t lay as flat as the patterned paper so I added a red washi tape just to keep them down a bit in its place. Works like an accent don’t you think?

For the sentiment, I embossed it with black embossing powder. It curled a little bit and I just wish that vellum is much more thicker. Anyhow, I love how this card turned out, clean & simple just like my style 😉

I’m using a sketch from Poppy Sketch # 2 with a pop of color
