Coloring with markers

Hello there!

I had fun coloring these food set with promarkers. Except for the drink which I stamped directly on a cardstock, the pizza and ice cream were colored with of promarkers. I made them colored coordinated so it will look united in the overall card.

I used Paper Smooches Think Fast stamp set. I don’t have their coordinating dies so I fussy cut all the food items 🙂

I’m entering this card to Paper Smooches challenge,  Aug 16-22 Anything Goes (Wk 3) challenge.

My card sketch inspiration is from Freshly Made Sketches #199.

I added Zig clear glitter to my ice creams for some shine

Watercolor play

Hello there!

Today I had the chance to play with watercolors. I bought Strathmore watercolor paper and Bristol paper the  other day at our local craft store so I’m trying them out. Although Bristol can hold some water-coloring, it’s not as forgiving as the actual watercolor paper. Still I love both of these papers. I will try some other types of coloring using Bristol and will share that here too when its done.

For the professor, I used the Bristol while the rest are watercolor paper.

I use the card sketch from Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge, joining in February 22-28 Designer Drafts Challenge.

I don’t have the coordinating die for this stamp set so I fussy cut all the pieces to make this scene.

I’m entering this also in Simon Says  Stamp, Anything Goes challenge.

Also in Word Art Wednesday Challenge # 172, Anything Goes.

Monster birthday

Life has been too busy and I haven’t shared a card project for a while.  Today, got a card for Create a Smile September Guest Designer search.  I love their images and decided to link up for the search. I used their free digi files. I used the monsters and the birthday sentiment for my card.

I printed the digis and colored them with promarker. I made the three of them as group and added one more next to my birthday sentiment, find them so cute with the googly eyes 🙂 I diecut Paper Smooches Duo Die 1 to nestle the 3 cutesy monsters and added some silver sequins to fill the space in the left panel.

I also added some Wink of Stella glitter in the monster’s tummy and spots 😉

My door is always open

I recently got this Bitty Bungalow stamp set from Paper Smooches. I’m entering this card in the current Picture Perfect challenge, June 8-14.  I used the colors in the photo as my inspiration, fun, happy colors.

I initially colored the bungalows with watercolor but later decided to paper pieced them instead. I have a pack of small piece papers that were left from previous projects which I keep. It may only be me but I just can’t just toss all those pretty papers in the bin as they can still be use in small projects like this (well not all those pieces but a good size ones that I think will still work).

I used the Notebook basic die to frame my bungalows.

For my card  layout, I used Fusion Card Challenge sketch, and they also have those bright, happy colors as inspiration. I also have twine to match the strips in the sketch.

Masculine card

Whipping a masculine card for today’s project. I intend to send this birthday card to my uncle and selected some vintage-type papers from Heidi Swapp.

I used the sketch from Paper Smooches May 25-31 Designer Drafts Challenge.

I got the curved border die recently and this sketch is just the perfect chance to use them. For the birthday sentiment, I used the greetings from  Party Posse and embossed it with white embossing powder.

The running strip is a fabric tape that I recently purchase in the local craft store. I love how it blends well with the colors of the papers.

Hippo Hooray

Playing with Paper Smooches stamps and dies. I’m entering this card to May 18-24 Anything Goes (wk 3) challenge.

I die cut the hippo, frame and balloon from PS. I die cut 2-3 piece of cardboard to add more dimensions to the frame and hippo, I think 1 extra piece for the balloon. I got the curled twine by putting white glue all around the twine and arrange it the way I want, then let dry.

I used the card sketch from Dahlhouse Designs Wanna Sketch # 16.
