Joining in this week at Retrosketches # 121. I have been holding the pattern papers on this card for some time and was glad to put them in use in today’s project.

Spreadin’ a little love

I love this Mama Elephant stamps set called Cosmic Stars. The images actually represents zodiac sign but can be used also in a lot of different things like this. I stamped three images and colored them with watercolors. The sentiment is also from Mama Elephant’s Everyday Greetings.

I added a pattern paper and embossed the card base for texture.

For the card sketch, I used Retrosketches #118 sketch.

Keep Calm and Carry On

Last week, I tried watercolors in my card project, and today, I’m using one of the sample watercolor background that I did last time, now to this card.

I have seen great inspirational quotes and I read the ”Keep Calm and Carry On” somewhere and noted them on my little notebook to use for later. So here it is now, just perfect for this week’s Retrosketches challenge # 115 sketch.

All stamps and papers are from Sarah Hurley. The small stamp set on the kit fits so nice to add some design to a plain background. I white embossed the little leaves, doodle circle and the heart. I also added some enamel dots to add some more colors in the white card base.

The CASology cue card is just fit for the  stamp I won from Ali Edwards before, so glad to use them again today. I stamped the lamp with Butterbar yellow  ink from Simon Says stamp while I white embossed the main sentiment. I die cut lower zigzag paper with Paper Smooches notebook die.

Some crafty time today so I can join in some fun card challenges.

Just to remind you also, the April Challenge – to use Stitching at Sarah Hurley365 challenge is up until 27th April.

With the theme challenge in mind, I also applied faux stitching along the border of the main frame. I also stitched the diecut button directly on paper. You can visit the challenge blog too to see great card creations from the DT and other participants.

I used Sarah Hurley papers from her scrapbooking kit, along with Sentiment stamp and sequins stamp from the Documented365 kit.  My main image, typewriter is from Sarah’s Be Mine scrapbooking kit.

I used the card sketch from Retro Sketches # 111.

Joining in this week in Retro sketches #110.

I used Sarah Hurley‘s A Few of My Favourite Things Neopolitan Kit.  Love the soft neutral colors of the papers so I decided to use them in a clean and simple wedding card. I added some pearls to complement the colors and a lace for a soft touch.

I also stamped the last end of the triangle piece with Sarah’s sequins mini stamp from the February Documented365 kit.

Birthday card

I’m so excited to finally use the new stamps and dies from Mama Elephant. I love their super cute characters in their stamps and I’m sharing some of them here.

I colored the baby chick and dinosaur from the Just hatched stamps set with promarkers. Then I die cut them with their coordinating Just hatched die.

The birthday stamp from Newston’s Nook Birthday Bash stamp set just fits well with the banner die cut from Simon Says Stamp. I have the banner die for a while but haven’t really used them until today.

My card base background was stamped with a woodgrain stamp from Hero Arts.

I’m entering this card in this week’s Retro Sketches # 108 challenge. Only few hours left before challenge close so better get hurry 🙂

Let’s shell-ebrate

Popping in quickly to share my take in Paper Smooches cute and fun challenge.

I stamped and colored the images with promarkers and added some die cut circle as embellishments. I got some washi tape last week from the local craft store so I used a strip here for some colors. I also added a googly eye for my turtle just for fun.

I got the card sketch inspiration from Retro sketches # 102.

Non traditional christmas color

I’m currently working on my Christmas cards and I made this one using products from Sarah Hurley stamps and papers. I don’t have her new line of Christmas paper sets yet so I’m improvising whatever I have to create a holiday card. I came up with a non traditional Christmas colors, still love them even without the reds and green 🙂

I used a combination of stamps from Sarah’s Christmas Mail clear stamp set and Christmas characters set. For my background I used the  pattern strip from Stamp and Stitch! Expedition stamp set. I used a Versamark ink to create a watermark effect over the kraft paper. I stamped and silver embossed the snow flakes and sentiment, both looks so pretty in real life 🙂

For Robin & Rudolf, I paper-pieced them using papers from A Few of my Favorite Things- Caught in Camera and Vol. 1 8×8 paper collection.

Now off to continue crafting.
