I shared a coloring project I did last night in my Instagram and had fun working on this digistamp called Woodsy Mae from Some Odd Girl. I have won this digistamp from SOG’s linky party that I participated previously.
I used two type of markers, for the skin and tree trunk I used copic markers while the rest used promarkers. Comparing the two marker brand, it seems that the copic markers blend well than the latter. This may be different for some users but I’m not really sure. It’s how I find the difference. Copic markers nib is also softer compared to promarkers. I’ll appreciate if you can share some of your experience using these markers if you have tried them both too.
For my background I used hero arts Woodgrain background stamp while the Hello sentiment is from Mama Elephant. I added some Hero Arts flower bling in the grass area for some fun. The scalloped edge is die cut using Lawn Fawn die.
My card layout is from Seize the Sketch # 24.
I’m also sharing this card to Some Odd Girl linky party.
Also to Artistic Inspirations, Anything Goes challenge.

Today, I’m featuring a great Special Editions stamp called Cupcake by the uber talented Jaine Drake.
I love the size of this cupcake, its size makes paper piecing so much easier just like what I did on this card.
I stamped the frosting in red pattern paper and a lighter paper shade for the liner. I plan to share different projects using the set so I’ll be sharing those ones too soon.
For this card, I’m using a sketch from Seize the Sketch # 20.
I’m also entering this card to
Word Art Wednesday, Anything Goes
Crafts Galore Encore Challenge, Anything Goes.
Paper Issues, Food for thought.
I’ve been wanting to have a typewriter stamp in the past so when Sarah Hurley has release this new Be Mine stamp set I ordered them right away from her.
I colored them with promarker then fuzzy cut them. I used the card sketch in today’s project from Seize the Sketch # 16.
I created the sentiment from Sarah Hurley’s Outline Alpha stamp set. All the papers I used are all from Sarah’s Be Mine scrapbooking kit and Journaling card.
I fuzzy cut the heart from the Be Mine kit as well. I added a foam square to pop them in the page.
I’m also entering this card to Charisma Cardz Clean & Simple card challenge.
I made a card today with my Dad’s birthday in mind. I used Sarah Hurley’s A Few of my Favorite Things kit Curio and City Gents to make this card. The sentiment is from the Sentiment stamp set.
Can you remember the days when manual typewriter and the CRT TV monitors are the usual household items?
We used to do our school reports using the typewriter while watching our favorite show in that big chunk TV till late at night 🙂 Now things are getting slicker and smaller at your fingertips 🙂
I think Dad will remember back the days seeing this card 😉 For sure we still have the typewriter somewhere in our home as Mom keeps these things as memorabilia.
I’m entering this card in Seize the Sketch # 15. I replaced the circle with the tag instead and added the elements on it.
I’m entering the same in Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, Tag It challenge.
I know the weather is now changing, the cough and colds seem like they wanted to go back 😦
Anyhow, I wanted to make a quick post in my take at Seize the Sketch # 6 challenge. I knew about the challenge blog through Seize the Birthday blog where I also take part previously.
I used stamps from Sarah Hurley’s Christmas Character stamp set, Robin and Christmas Mail stamp set. For the Holly Jolly sentiment, I embossed them with gray embossing powder.
