Thanks

Happy Friday!

I still have a lot of crafty supplies that I haven’t had the chance to play with so this time is a good change to use some of them. I used Paper Smooches Fancy Frames Icons dies for my main shapes.

For the stamped flowers, I used the small icons from Paper Smooches Recipe for Success stamp set. I love using tiny stamps to create patterns such as these 🙂 For some texture, I added twine from Lawn Fawn and a strip of washi tape.

I’m entering this card in this week’s Paper Smooches challenge, Anything Goes, July 5-11 (Week 1).

Dude! You are amazing

Hi there!

Just checking in quickly to share a card with a masculine theme. I used a die from Lil’ Inker Designs and stamps from Kelly Purkey. The papers are from a guy themed distressed papers from my stash that I haven’t used for a while. Great to make use of it this time.

Christmas Word Art Stamp in focus

Hello there!

Today’s card project focuses in the Christmas sentiment that I recently got from Sarah. Its called Christmas Word Art Stamp set.  I love the selection of fonts and the combination of modern and traditional typography.

I  white heat embossed the sentiment over a dark patterned paper. I also added a red designer paper at the back of the gray paper to give more Christmas color feel to it. The card base is also embossed using an embossing folder for texture.

The twine and sequins are also added for some fun 🙂

Winter Holiday Houses

Hello there!

For today’s project share, I’m using Hero Arts Holiday Houses. I did one card and a tag using one of the houses for the tag.

I love doing card sets and at times its great to do a tag to complement a set. I usually use the tag to match the set that can be given also as gift.

For the projects, I printed and colored them with markers. I added some glitz and detail using white gel pen and clear Wink of Stella glitter pen. On a separate card base, I printed also the trees that comes also with the kit. One great thing about working on a digi kit is that it comes with other elements that you can use in a project.

The snow cap in those houses has some shine to it using the Wink of Stella, the photo didn’t catch that here but it’s so pretty in real life.

The silver sequins add festivity in the scene and this is complemented too by the silver lace ribbon that I used in the bottom of the card.

See how this card sparkle? I love those silvers over white card base.

Here’s the card in full view

For the tag, I printed a bigger tree and colored it with green marker. I also added Wink of Stella on the vines, the same way I did in the houses snow. This time for the house, I tried putting in distress glitter for a change.

The polka dots are from the digi kit too, it has a selection of patter papers that you can also use.

And a full view of the tag, great for the holiday gift. The sentiments are also from the same Holiday Houses digi kit.

Have a great day + discount code

Today is the day for the month’s (August) challenge over at A2z Scrapbooking blog!

The theme for the month is Encouragement so I created a light colored card to lift someone’s spirit, the sentiment to match a great day ahead.

I love the bicycle from Hero Arts stamp & die set, just brings so much fun memories when my brother & I used to bike around the school ground when we were just kids, or sometimes hop on with my cousin’s bike to go around our area 🙂 Helmets were non existent at the time and I remember my grandmother restraining me to go biking with my teenager cousins who used to take me for a ride on evenings, I was the younger kid then.

So here, I used the bike as my main image for today’s project share.

I stamped the background with Hero Arts and added a twine for some additional texture.

My card sketch and color inspiration is from Fusion Card challenge, July 31st (The Beach House).

I’m also entering this card to Simon Says Stamp, Anything Goes challenge.

My door is always open

I recently got this Bitty Bungalow stamp set from Paper Smooches. I’m entering this card in the current Picture Perfect challenge, June 8-14.  I used the colors in the photo as my inspiration, fun, happy colors.

SPARKS BADGE

I initially colored the bungalows with watercolor but later decided to paper pieced them instead. I have a pack of small piece papers that were left from previous projects which I keep. It may only be me but I just can’t just toss all those pretty papers in the bin as they can still be use in small projects like this (well not all those pieces but a good size ones that I think will still work).

I used the Notebook basic die to frame my bungalows.

For my card  layout, I used Fusion Card Challenge sketch, and they also have those bright, happy colors as inspiration. I also have twine to match the strips in the sketch.

Hippo Hooray

Playing with Paper Smooches stamps and dies. I’m entering this card to May 18-24 Anything Goes (wk 3) challenge.

I die cut the hippo, frame and balloon from PS. I die cut 2-3 piece of cardboard to add more dimensions to the frame and hippo, I think 1 extra piece for the balloon. I got the curled twine by putting white glue all around the twine and arrange it the way I want, then let dry.

Warm & fuzzy

Card sketches are just one of my favorite online challenges. Apparently, I can’t miss out Paper Smooches- April 27- May 3 Designer Draft challenge for the month.

I used the cute cat from Party Posse stamp set and combined the warm & fuzzy sentiment with the birthday wishes from the same set. I then fuzzy cut the cat and the small clouds for additional deco. The tag is also from Paper Smooches Tag stitched die. I just added pink twine to complete the look.
