For this card I used fabric tape to create the red stripes. I have a big bottle full of washi and different tapes and I thought I need to make use of them frequently because they deserved more love 🙂 The blue strip is a washi that I crossed over the red tape.
I used stamped images from My Favorite Things and colored them with watercolor. The Christmas tree was colored with promarkers.
The holiday season is soon to come and I need to do my holiday cards this early.
My sentiment is die cut from My Favorite Things as well.
I used a card sketch from Sketch N Scrap, Card Sketch # 84.
I’m also entering this card to Addicted to Stamps and More, Challenge # 216-Anything Goes.
And Always Playing with Paper Challenge #83, Christmas Inspiration. I used the Christmas theme, gift and red stripes in my card 🙂
And Perfectly Created Chaos, Challenge #4- Anything Goes challenge.

Just popping in quickly to share my second card for My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar 2016.
You can find my first card entry here.
I totally forgot that I have this Die-namics Floral Fusion Cover Up die that I really haven’t used yet. Wow! That was bought sometime ago. I saw a card set before that used this cover up die and I made sure that time that I need to get this floral die. It’s a shame that I haven’t played on it yet until now 🙂
I’m happy to use it in today’s card background. I used it to die cut a subtle designed paper, with a hint of soft color outline.
Also, I had some coloring on my images, my gnome with watercolor and the fence and flowers with promarker.
I also placed a die cut vellum using MFT dies and placed it behind the images so they will not be lost in the floral die cut design on the base.
Note that you can click on the image for a larger view
the gnome and fence colored detail
A closer look on the Hello banner. I have the sentiment stamped on a designer paper and attached it to a toothpick, then tucked it behind the fence
And that is all. Until then!
If you’re coming from the Cupcake Inspirations blog challenge, Welcome 🙂
I’m so excited being a Surprise Sweetie for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge # 376. I’m happy to join you all and share my take in this week’s color challenge.
First up, I colored my image from Newton’s Nook Birthday Bash stamp set with distress ink pad. I recently purchased mini distress ink as I find them great for watercoloring.
I fussy cut the colored image after filling in the colors and also added a very light purple background color in the circle die cut.
For my card base, I added some texture by embossing some circles using my circle die cuts. I also put some sequins to complement the colors I used in the stamped image.
Have a great day and I hope you join us in this week’s challenge. Have fun 🙂
I did some more watercoloring this time using My Favorite Things stamps. I cut a rectangular piece of watercolor paper and did some stamping using the fence then masked it to stamped the wooden base. I then stamped the pot of flowers then watercolor them all.
I had a gnome that I already colored in the past and used it this time to complete my little garden scene.
I then added some flower gems from Hero Arts and a purple washi for my side banner.
My card sketch inspiration is from My Favorite Things, Wednesday Sketch Challenge #295.
I’m also entering this card to Happy Little Stampers August CAS challenge, Masking.
And Creative Corner Challenges, Too Sweet.

Just checking in quickly to share my take in Cupcake Inspirations Challenge # 371, Shine Bright.
I used a diamond diecut from Ellen Hutson to represent the bright theme. I also used a perfume packaging that has this cool shiny finish to diecut the diamond. I think that both reflects the theme eh? I also added a vellum behind the diecut to show some see-through feel in its sparkle 🙂
For my cupcake I colored it using watercolor. Then I added a striped vellum on the sides and some sequins for some more shine & brightness.
My card sketch inspiration is from CAS on Sunday: Challenge # 89.

Also entering this challenge to Tuesday Throwdown, Challenge # 307, Anything Goes.

So glad that I had some time playing along in card challenges. I haven’t bought crafting supplies like newly released stamps and dies so I used whatever I have on hand.
For my background, I did some watercoloring using distress ink pads. I then white embossed the skyline stamp from Altenew and stamp another sentiment at the bottom from Mama Elephant. The little girl is also from the same stamp set. I colored her with prormarkers too, one of my favorite coloring medium.
I added a printed stripe vellum on the side also with few sequins.
I want to depict a scene of missing someone so I used the skyline to show a place and someone thinking about it 🙂 Cheesy right?
Anyhow, I used a card sketch from Sketch Saturday # 425.
Also entering this card to CAS-ual Fridays CFC #154, Time to Color challenge.
And Great Impressions, August Challenge- Anything Goes.
and Markerpop Challenge #101, Embossing.
I have been playing with simple watercoloring for this stamped imaged from Some Odd Girl.
I have a very small collection of distress ink pads and I used them to do the watercoloring. I’m excited though to get more of those inks soon in the mail 🙂 There was a recent sale online and got the chance to grab additional ink pads for coloring.
For this card, I used the card sketch from Sketch N Scrap Sketch # 79.
For my background, I embossed the lighter cardstock with circle design, it also mimics the pattern in the washi tape I used in the strip which was coincidental. Love that when it happens.
I also stamped a tiny part of the kraft card base with doily design, very small part shows in the left but the design almost looks like the same as the flower pattern in the washi tape.
I’m also entering this card to Addicted to Stamps and more, Challenge #206, Anything Goes.
Also in Through the Purple Haze, Challenge# 106 Anything Goes.
I have been coloring my new gnome stamps from My Favorite Things and so happy to finally put them into a card. I colored the images and background with distress ink pads and I’m loving it.
I embossed the white card stock base with my favorite embossing folder with dots. I haven’t done any dry embossing lately 🙂 The background just mimics the dots patterned paper that I used in the strip.
I had a great time playing with my new stamps and trying out watercoloring more with distress inks. I only have few colors but plans to add a little more to the collection. It will be fun to play more with colors for sure.
I used the sketch from My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge #291.
I’m also entering this card to Simon Says Stamp, Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes.
Also in Seize the Birthday Challenge, Anything Goes. And Cards Und More, Challenge #163-Embossing.

I’m checking in quickly to share a fun card using stamps from Mommy Lhey.
First up, I did some watercoloring in the background, somewhat mimicking the underwater colors. Some blues and purples are just right isn’t it? I also white embossed the seahorse and plants to add in the scene.
For my images, I colored them with promarker and fussy cut them then adding some foam dimensional for extra pop. I added some sequins also to add some more fun.
I used a card sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge # 169.
I’m also entering this card to Seize the Birthday challenge with Bold and Bright topping.
And to Words to Craft By #31, Just keep on swimming.

Today, I did a card using a sketch from Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge Sketch Challenge # 241.
I used a combination of stamps from Mommy Lhey for the cute octopus, sentiment from Technique Tuesday, and the splash of turquoise patch from Hero Arts.
The stash of ribbon is from my previous collection, love to use them again this time.
I used a very simple water coloring on the octopus background and in the image too. I added some sequins too and voila, clean and simple just the way I like it 🙂
I also used a color inspiration from WIW Color Challenge- Red,Turquoise, Black & White.
And here’s my take
I’m also entering this to Happy Little Stampers Case the Designer challenge. I used the octupus as my main image & used the circle too to focus on the image.
