Digi Monday + GDT

Recently, I’m looking on ways to improve my blog. I’m considering a scheduled project post from digi stamps, to stamps, to sewing. It will be a weekly highlight on project/s that I did for the week. Or it can be a digi project I’m currently working on that I will soon share in a Monday.

I will be calling the digi projects as Digi Monday as I’ll be focusing in digital projects as such. I did a badge for this  digi weekly round-up.

On another note, I’m so happy to share that I will be a guest designer at Chi Chi Memories from September to October. I specially love their cute and adorable digital images that you can use in cards, invitations, tags, scrapbook page and other craft projects.

There will be a monthly digi release (every 1st of the month) and I’m starting off my take by using this month’s new release called Stamp Set – Party Time.

I used the cute ‘party organizers’ as my main characters in a tea party invitation. I did the layout using Illustrator but it can also be done using Word doc. I colored the images using promarkers.

For the envelope, I resize the same images and printed them in the envelope.  As the envelope is thinner than cardstock, I colored the images with colored pencils. The colorful borders were from Sarah Hurley’s All Sewn Up! digi scrapbook kit.

Looking on party invites just makes me smile 🙂

Sarah Hurley, Lookbook Magazine, Vol. 3 projects

May 1st is the birth day of the most amazing woman in my life. The one who have done so much not only for me but for our whole family, my inspiration and strength, my Mom.

Happy birthday Mom!

1st May also happens to be the release of Sarah Hurley’s Lookbook Magazine, Volume 3.   The magazine is a compilation of the design team’s creations (including me :)) that is intended to give inspirations using Sarah‘s fabulous kits and products. The collection varies from scrapbook page, ATCs, cards to home decor. Each piece is an art on its own. So amazed how talented these ladies are and I’m so happy to be part of this team.

I originally plan to do a sneak peek but time is so tricky that I wasn’t able to do one.

Anyhow, I’m pleased to share my contributions in the magazine here.

First off is a card for Mom 🙂 using All Sewn Up! digi-scrapbook kit. I used random strips of the pattern paper from the kit, added embellishments and oh, those fonts is a darling. I love this kit as sewing is also very close to my heart. Just look around and you will see several sewing projects I did on this blog too.

I first got interested in sewing when I watched Mom doing our pajamas when we were little kids. This card is just perfect for her isn’t it?

Second project is a birthday invitation card using Oz Digi Scrapbooking kit. I previously did a Wizard of Oz invite but this one has more Oz elements. I did a coordinating envelopes also to match the whole pack. You may say I may be bias but I don’t think I’ll get tired doing digi projects using Sarah’s kits. The colors and elements are just the ones that I really like.

Now, this one is the first scrapbook page I did, digital it is. I’m more of a card maker  and I haven’t done any scrapbook page before. This is my first attempt and what I can say is, I really had fun working on this page. I used the Say Cheese Scrapbook kit.  In photo is my dear friend Ben and her son Sam (who happens to be my godson too).  See how quirky he is? I love the colors of this kit, the embellishments and those cameras, who wouldn’t love photography?

All I can is, I really had fun doing all these projects. There are a lot of other things I would love to see using these kits and will share them here for sure.

Invitation cards

I’m sharing here today an invitation card that I did using Hey Dude! digistamp from The Stamping Shack. Doing this invite is so easy and anyone can do this in no time at all. I’m posting the process at The Stamping Shack blog so you can check them out too.
