I heart u

Joining in this week at Retrosketches # 121. I have been holding the pattern papers on this card for some time and was glad to put them in use in today’s project.

I used stamps from Mama Elephant  and cloud vellum die cut from Papertrey Ink. Using a quick copic and promarkers coloring in the angel, I fussy cutting them to be my main focal image on this card. I added some gray pearls as accent and button for texture.

Spreadin’ a little love

I love this Mama Elephant stamps set called Cosmic Stars. The images actually represents zodiac sign but can be used also in a lot of different things like this. I stamped three images and colored them with watercolors. The sentiment is also from Mama Elephant’s Everyday Greetings.

I added a pattern paper and embossed the card base for texture.

For the card sketch, I used Retrosketches #118 sketch.

Today, I got the chance to use the Clever Kittys stamps from Some Odd Girl. There are a lot of pretty character stamps from SOG but I only have this kitty stamp to try out now. I stamped the image into a pattern paper then fussy cut both the cat and the mouse. I also added some buttons and enamel dot.

Keep Calm and Carry On

Last week, I tried watercolors in my card project, and today, I’m using one of the sample watercolor background that I did last time, now to this card.

I have seen great inspirational quotes and I read the ”Keep Calm and Carry On” somewhere and noted them on my little notebook to use for later. So here it is now, just perfect for this week’s Retrosketches challenge # 115 sketch.

All stamps and papers are from Sarah Hurley. The small stamp set on the kit fits so nice to add some design to a plain background. I white embossed the little leaves, doodle circle and the heart. I also added some enamel dots to add some more colors in the white card base.

Best wishes

I recently got a parcel full of crafty goodness from Sarah Hurley. Today, I had the chance to use some of them.

Since I love the butterfly in the pack and the dimension it gives to a card project, I used one of them here. I also added the gold leaf for some spark.  The papers are just gorgeous and  I love the fun feel it gives to this best wishes card. The sentiment is from Sarah’s Sentiment stamp set.

I used the card sketch inspiration from Retrosketches # 114.

You are amazing

A new challenge is up at the Sarah Hurley365 blog. This month’s theme is “Anything Goes“.

I used Sarah’s Be Mine scrapbooking kit for my card. I love the colors on this kit and I have used the same in some of my other card projects. For the heart, I cut it from the Snip N Stick embellishment sheet from the same kit. For my sentiment I used Sarah’s Block Alpha stamp that I embossed in white, while the typewriter stamp is from the Be Mine stamp set.

Love that typewriter too. We used to have one back in the days and I remember ours to be well used and well loved.

The CASology cue card is just fit for the  stamp I won from Ali Edwards before, so glad to use them again today. I stamped the lamp with Butterbar yellow  ink from Simon Says stamp while I white embossed the main sentiment. I die cut lower zigzag paper with Paper Smooches notebook die.

Joining in this week in Retro sketches #110.

I used Sarah Hurley‘s A Few of My Favourite Things Neopolitan Kit.  Love the soft neutral colors of the papers so I decided to use them in a clean and simple wedding card. I added some pearls to complement the colors and a lace for a soft touch.

I also stamped the last end of the triangle piece with Sarah’s sequins mini stamp from the February Documented365 kit.
