Some Odd Girl April Release Review

Hello there!

I’m sharing today a card using the new release digi stamp this month from Some Odd Girl.  The release this month are retired stamps yet be enjoyed now as a digital stamp 🙂 Love that.

I colored Big Wishes Mae digital stamp with my favorite coloring medium promarkers. For the card base I embossed that with medium-sized dots and also added some patterned papers for some fun. I also added some gems for added texture.

You can visit the Some Odd Girl blog for more card inspirations.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #376 Color Challenge

Hiya!

If you’re coming from the Cupcake Inspirations blog challenge, Welcome 🙂

I’m so excited being a Surprise Sweetie  for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge # 376. I’m happy to join you all and share my take in this week’s color challenge.

First up, I colored my image from Newton’s Nook Birthday Bash stamp set with distress ink pad. I recently purchased mini distress ink as I find them great for watercoloring.

I fussy cut the colored image after filling in the colors and also added a very light purple background color in the circle die cut.

For my card base, I added some texture by embossing some circles using my circle die cuts. I also put some sequins to complement the colors I used in the stamped image.

Mist and more coloring

Hiya!

I did some mist and spritzing the other day and yesterday’s card and I continue to use that in today’s card share.

I used another mist background using Mr Huey’s Jubillee mini mist and love how that small circle dot mist mimics the circles in my die cut tag shape.

I’m using Paper Smooches stamps, firstly  the main image and the pie and strawberry. I colored the images with promarker and copic markers for the skin color. Since the strawberry is a silhouette only, I stamped that only with red ink. I don’t seem to have a small cupcake stamp to let the guy hold as birthday present so I used the pie and top that with strawberry as alternative 🙂 That should do right? 🙂

Shine Bright

Hiya!

Just checking in quickly to share my take in Cupcake Inspirations Challenge # 371, Shine Bright.

I used a diamond diecut from Ellen Hutson to represent the bright theme. I also used a perfume packaging that has this cool shiny finish to diecut the diamond. I think that both reflects the theme eh? I also added a vellum behind the diecut to show some see-through feel in its sparkle 🙂

For my cupcake I colored it using watercolor. Then I added a striped vellum on the sides and some sequins for some more shine & brightness.

My card sketch inspiration is from CAS on Sunday: Challenge # 89.

Happy Birthday

I found this card sketch at Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog, Sip and Share.  And knowing me being a coffee drinker and card sketch lover must case the sketch.

I have this polka dot printed vellum and washi tapes on my stash so why not make use of them this time.

My stamp is from Simon Says Stamp while the sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I colored the goat with promarkers and die cut the same with its coordinating die. For the strings, I added an embroidery thread behind the goat, great to add texture, also some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Super card

Hi there!

It’s another card today using stamps from Paper Smooches.

I stamped the building silhouette in three different ink pads and arranged them behind to create a background scene. I also added the car silhouette too to put in the front.

For my superhero I colored him with promarker.

I’m entering this card to Paper Smooches, August challenge – Friendship. This card will be great to cheer up a friend isn’t it?

Birthday wishes

Hello!

I’m joining in this week’s card sketch at Match the Sketch # 136. Just perfect to use some of my patterned papers.

I used the panda stamp from Mama Elephant while the sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I added some sequins too to add some texture and pop of gold and magenta colors. A quick and easy birthday card 🙂

Gnomes

I have been coloring my new gnome stamps from My Favorite Things and so happy to finally put them into a card. I colored the images and background with distress ink pads and I’m loving it.

I embossed the white card stock base with my favorite embossing folder with dots. I haven’t done any dry embossing lately 🙂  The background just mimics the dots patterned paper that I used in the strip.

I had a great time playing with   my new stamps and trying out watercoloring more with distress inks. I only have few colors but plans to add a little more to the collection. It will be fun to play more with colors for sure.

I used the sketch from My Favorite Things, Sketch Challenge #291.
