Some Odd Girl April Release Review

Hello there!

I’m sharing today a card using the new release digi stamp this month from Some Odd Girl. ย The release this month are retired stamps yet be enjoyed now as a digital stamp ๐Ÿ™‚ Love that.

I colored Big Wishes Mae digital stamp with my favorite coloring medium promarkers. For the card base I embossed that with medium-sized dots and also added some patterned papers for some fun. I also added some gems for added texture.

You can visit the Some Odd Girl blog for more card inspirations.

Embossing and patterned papers

So I’m still into the Christmas vibe making some more holiday cards for friends. There’s a gathering on Thursday and I thought it would be nice to give something too while we’re celebrating an advance Christmas dinner.

For this card, I used a card sketch from Sketch N Scrap, Card sketch # 87.

I used some patterned papers and embossed the sentiment with white. The background texture is also made using an embossing folder. The cutesy images are from My Favorite Things & Pretty Pink Posh.

Let’s be merry

So trying to get into swing of things around the blog. This time trying to take a sketch challenge from Match the Sketch, No. 155.

I’ve been loving the washi tape on my christmas cards this year and still loving it. Apparently in today’s card is not an exception. I added a strip of washi and embossed the background for some added texture.

My main image is colored with promarkers and die cut the same. Though this card’s color is not really traditional holiday color, still love this one ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m back! and a card

Wow! I can’t believe I haven’t posted in my blog for months, feels like forever?!

So what had happened? I was on my annual break last November and had to prepare the trip even before November. Then I have to travel for two weeks in North America. Its cold but great! I may say the best two weeks of my life ๐Ÿ™‚

Had great places to see and amazing people to meet. It was quite incredible, the best birthday gift to self.

After the vacation, a lot of things need to be done at work so I haven’t really updated the blog. I’m however posting my holiday cards in Instagram. You can also check me out there as @heartforhandmade

So today, had the chance to do some holiday cards.

I did some embossing – dry and heat embossing plus some die cutting in the scallop strip + sequins.

Well its nice to be back.

Die cutting and Embossing

Just checking in quickly to share my take in this week’s (CAS)E this Sketch #189.

I used a word die cut ‘Hugs’ from Simon Says Stamp and I embossed the yellow card base with this medallion design embossing folder. Its so easy and I finish the card while I’m on the phone with a friend. Multi- tasking you know ๐Ÿ™‚

Coloring, Embossing, Die cutting

I had some extra time and what better way to use that than to create ย a card right?

I dig some of my patterned papers and older stamp set from Mama Elephant to make this card. It’s nice to make use of older supplies just because they are and will always be great to play with.

I did some rectangular shapes die cut and embossed the mid-sentiment with white embossing powder. For my image I colored them all with promarker and die cut them also with their coordinating dies.

My card sketch inspiration is from Sketch Saturday # 427.

Happy Friday!

I have been playing with simple watercoloring for this stamped imaged from Some Odd Girl.

I have a very small collection of distress ink pads and I used them to do the watercoloring. I’m excited though to get more of those inks soon in the mail ๐Ÿ™‚ There was a recent sale online and got the chance to grab additional ink pads for coloring.

For this card, I used the card sketch from Sketch N Scrap Sketch # 79.

For my background, I embossed the lighter cardstock ย with circle design, it also mimics the pattern in the washi tape I used in the strip which was coincidental. Love that when it happens.

I also stamped a tiny part of the kraft card base with doily design, very small part shows in the left but the design almost looks like the same as the flower pattern in the washi tape.

Underwater fun

Happy Saturday!

I’m checking in quickly to share a fun card using stamps from Mommy Lhey.

First up, I did some watercoloring in the background, somewhat mimicking the underwater colors. Some blues and purples are just right isn’t it? I also white embossed the seahorse and plants to add in the scene.

For my images, I colored them with promarker and fussy cut them then adding some foam dimensional for extra pop. I added some sequins also to add some more fun.

I used a card sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge # 169.

I’m also entering this card to Seize the Birthday challenge with Bold and Bright topping.

And to Words to Craft By #31, Just keep on swimming.

Non Traditional Holiday Colors

Happy Saturday!

Sharing this non-traditional holiday colors for Paper Smooches, Anything Goes (wk3) Challenge.

I love non-holiday stamps and colors to combine with holiday stamps to create a card. Just a way to stretch more of your stamps.
